Super Stickman Golf 2 Beta Findings
Back
On this archive.org archive, I found a beta version of Super Stickman Golf 2.

Naturally, I went and jailbroke my 5G iPod touch (a device that would have been new at the time of this beta) and installed the .ipa. What I observed was a plethora of small changes that are incredibly interesting, and I can't find talked about anywhere else. And since I'm too scared to make a new article on tcrf.net, it's going here.
Preface
I installed this .ipa on an iPod touch (5th generation) running iOS 9.3.5. According to Filza, the app has an ID of com.noodlecake.ssgpuzzle, and a name of ssgpuzzle. Its version and build numbers are 1.0, and the minimum iOS version is iOS 4.3 (From March 9th, 2011).
The app also has a timebomb. I just picked randomly and went for December 10th, 2012, which worked. If it's too new, it will say that the beta has expired, and to look forward to the final game. For context, the final game released on March 14, 2013.
Differences
(Definitely not all of them, but just some I noticed. I'll get more pictures when I can, I'm quite busy right now but will get to it.)
App Icon
The app icon is mostly the same as the final, but Stickman bears a crown instead of the hunter's hat that the final has. Interestingly, the crown hat was brought back as the app icon for Super Stickman Golf 3.
Title Screen
- Aside from keeping that crown from the app icon, the title screen music is completely different. This alternate music was later reused for Flappy Golf.
- There is a "submit feedback" button. It tells you to flip your device to portrait mode, but then brings something up that softlocks you. This button, along with the timebomb lockout, suggests this build was a playtesting build. I can't find info if this was a public or private.
- Going to the achievements tab is an instant transition, instead of the smooth flip like the rest of the menus.
- Various hats are missing.
- Ball Trails aren't a thing yet.
- Various courses are missing, and the ones that are here are re-ordered.
Gameplay
- The icon that shows the game mode is absent.
- The Hole Complete message has no delay after the ball sinks, similar to its behavior in Super Stickman Golf 1.
Courses
- Grassy Land has a par of 33, which was increased to 38 in the final.

- The title of the course is on the top-left side of the screen, where it's the top center in the final. It also does not have the icon of the course next to it.
- The text boxes for the score and its header are smaller, almost to the point of not fitting all the text.
- Your amount of strokes is listed as "Score" in the header, where it's shown as "Strokes" in the final.
